Spring in the Heart!
Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival HÕFF is already back for the 12th year in the row back together with spring, and no matter what the spring is like HÕFF is there here to cheer you up! And there are plenty of good movies to choose from! This time there will be more movies than ever in three cinemas halls (cheers to all retrofans!) – namely 29 full-length films. The festival's opening event is the European premiere of a brand-new film by Evan Katz "Small crimes" (the film’s director will be also present!), and this means that all the film and festival fans can look forward to another three-day marathon.
This year’s festival is especially terrific because of the premiers of two domestic films (see you at the screenings of "Random Denominator" and "Tartu Video Chronicles"!). You will find exciting guests at two more film screenings ("Spring in the Heart" and "Go and See"); in the freak movie programme you can watch the premiere of a rare European VHS-pearl "„Jungle Trap“; and as one of the few festivals in the world, HÖFF is showing pop-musician Flying Lotus’ sensational film "Kuso". From Germany we’re expecting the team of the short movie "When demons die" that was shot all overin Estonia to present it to us as well. Whoopee!
Obviously, we have also have all kinds of special events on the agenda - you can make your own kratt (goblin), do a killer workout, or dance at the night disco, or take part in the legendary quiz, or join the debate about the film festival’s role in the city's image. We’re offering a lot of options to move and think together with us!
However, it should be added that we wouldn’t be here without you, our dear guests, festival fans, supporters and volunteers. Together with you, especially in the cinemas hall, spring is really is in the heart.
